Prior to founding Art & Mechanical, David spent many years working with some of Toronto's premier design and advertising shops on some heavy hitting brands including: Audi Canada, Bell Canada, Coca-Cola, Corona, Labatt Breweries (Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Kokanee, Rolling Rock), Honda Canada, Jack Astor's, Kobo, Stratford Shakespeare Festival, TATA, AstraZeneca, Queen's University, Scotiabank, Seneca College, OCAD University, and Workopolis. However, he's just as adept at working with the little guys too, having helped form identities for many local small businesses, most notably in the hospitality industry, enabling them to firmly take root within their communities. His creative work has been widely published and recognized by major national and international publications, annuals and blogs including The One Show, HOW, Communication Arts, Coupe, Advertising and Design Club of Canada (ADCC), Digital Marketing Awards (DMA's), Applied Arts, Design Edge, Design at Work, Rockport Publishers and Gestalten. In the creative community, he's an active juror for national and international creative competitions and regularly volunteers his time to local creative networks and organizations.
